Brindavan Garden, Mysore

Brindavan Garden is situated around 20 kms from Mysore and its a 30 minutes journey little rough. Brindavan Garden is not only famous for its green lush lawns & flowers but the main attraction is various beautiful musical fountains. Situated in laps of KRS Dam ( Krishnaraja Sagar Dam) which is on Kauvery river, this beautiful garden is a treat for garden lovers. Best time to reach there is before evening around 4- 5 pm. First see the garden & flowers in daylight, during sunset climb on wall of dam and cherish a heart breaking sunset. After sunset when thousands of lights comes into action its altogether a different world. White fountains took different colors and music flows in the air. A magical environment with cool breeze from dam. Ah...I love it. U pls. also enjoy.

Shiva Temple

Shiva Temple is situated at Airport Road, behind Kemp Fort (a famous shopping place). It seems place maintained & owned by Promoters of Kemp Fort. Great effort in keeping people's faith alive. U will never imagine even when u r in parking slot. Once u start approaching the main compound you suddenly came across grandeur of this place. To start with Lord Ganesha idol, approx. 30 ft tall at a elevated platform. After crossing it u come to main compound where u will enjoy the sheer presence of a 60ft tall Lord Shiva statue, sitting there to bless all of us. A pond where u can throw coin to make ur wish true. And most attractive , specially to die hard followers u can also see all miniature of all Jyotirlingam Tempels. Its a working statue, with Ganges coming out of Shiva hairs. Peaceful, calm, and altogether a different temple.

My dear daughter Priyanshi dressed up like Goddess Durga. It's occasion of Jagran at our uncle's place. My daughter dressed up like Goddess Durga during one of performance. After seeing this photograph i felt why people say "Children are face of God"

Somnathpur Temple

Somnathpur , a small village , on bank of Kaveri revier around 35 kms from Mysore, has a small wonder called Keshava Tempel more famous as Somnath Temple. Built in 13th century this tempel is one of best Hoysala Tempels. Splended architectural beauty, fine carving, elevated platform, pillars & idols who are ready to speak anytime. I consider it as one of our cultural heritage that must be shown to world and known to every Indian. Road is bad but destination is worth going. Neatly maintained lawn adds to its beauty.

Anjaneri- Shri Hanuman Ji Birthplace

We were on our Christmas holidays and were going to Trimbhkeshwar (Lord Shiva Tempel) from Nashik. It's some 40 kms from Nashik. Some 20 kms away we suddenly came across huge idol of Shri Hanuman. Place was not listed anywhere and our curosity lead us there. As per saying Anjaneri is birth place of Shri hanuman. You can feel the air flowing freely all around over mountains. We met a Sardar Gentelman who was priest there. He was taking care of this place which is nowhere near to any city. We salute his dedication to keep alive this place santity.
